The Agility

Agility, sometimes referred to as the maneuverability of the body, it is the ability to rapidly change the position and direction of the body or body parts.  Heredity is a major factor in an individual's level of agility, but agility also depends on strength, speed, coordination and dynamic balance.  Many individuals are able to improve agility by increasing their ability in these areas.  Agility can also improve through direct instruction, training and practice agility drills.

Why Important?

Agility is important in all activities and sports.  Individual and team sports involve quick starts and stops, rapid changes of direction, efficient footwork, and quick adjustments of the  body or body parts.
